Every seller moves through the same stages. The portal's deal room shows which stage you are in, what is still open and who on our side owns the next step.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
applied |
You applied to list your data. We read your answers about industry, systems, history and rights. |
nda_sent |
We sent a mutual NDA, usually on the day of the first call. |
nda_signed |
The NDA is signed by both sides. |
rights_review |
We read your customer agreements, data processing agreements and privacy notices to confirm you can license the data. |
sample_received |
You uploaded a sample export for the readiness report. |
readiness_report |
We sent the report: column roles, what gets removed, and the re-identification result. |
buyer_interest |
A buyer has reviewed the scrubbed sample and wants to talk terms. |
offer |
A buyer made an offer. You see the terms and decide. |
licensed |
You approved the buyer and the license is signed. |
paid |
The first payment reached you. |
recurring |
The SDK is scheduled and refresh batches are paying each month. |
Each stage change is recorded with a timestamp and an optional note. The deal room timeline shows them in order, and the weekly update email summarizes them.
The first call
We ask about rights first, because a contract that forbids the sale ends the process before anyone does any work. Then we ask which systems you use, how many records they hold, how many years of history you have, and who signs for the company.
Rights review
We read the contracts that govern the data before we touch any of it. A clause such as "used only to provide the service" blocks a sale even after scrubbing. Data you hold on behalf of your customers usually needs their written permission. See Rights review for the full list.
Sample and readiness report
You export a sample from one system and upload it in the portal under the NDA. Our server scrubs it with the same scrubber the SDK uses, keeps only the scrubbed output and the report, and deletes the raw file. The report tells you which columns are sellable, which are removed, which secrets turned up, and how hard the records are to re-identify. See Readiness report.
Buyer interest and offers
We show the scrubbed sample to labs that are looking for that kind of data. When a buyer reviews it and names a price range, we tell you. An offer lists the allowed uses, the length of the license, whether it is exclusive, the price for your history and the price per monthly refresh.
License and setup
Nothing is licensed until you approve the buyer in the portal. Once the license is signed, you install the SDK, connect it to the source system and run it once to deliver your history. Then you schedule it, and from then on it runs without you. See Quickstart for sellers.
Payouts
Each license produces a payout for each period it pays in. Your share is set in your seller agreement and stored on every payout. See Payouts.
